The association is generally supportive of community clubs and activities and has 3 more specific roles:
ElmsFest is back for 2018, having been re-branded from the old 'Autumn Fayre' and run for the first time as ElmsFest in 2017. It takes place on Sunday 2nd September at Blackbourne Meadow.
Community organisations are well represented and their efforts raise many thousands of pounds for their own use.
There are many commercial stalls, a fun fair, live music, Spitfire flypast, dog and bird agility displays, plus much more.

The association owns the Memorial Library & garden sites in Cooks Road.
The library is leased to Suffolk County Council.
The garden is maintained by community volunteers.
The Elmswell Newsletter is published on the 1st Friday of every month and distributed free of charge to 1,776 households and businesses in the village.
It is edited and distributed entirely by volunteers and funded by advertising.
